Minted.com just introduced a line of wedding programs and to spread the word, they've challenged bloggers to come up with creative ways to finish and bind a program from their DIY folded programs. I received three beautiful programs in the mail and decided to finish Waui Design's Mod Monogram program.
I love the bright pop of color, punchy graphic interior, and simple text. I think the design could be gussied up any number of ways, but decided on a beaded tie to echo the circle monogram and introduce a few more colors without overwhelming the design. I used elastic beading line and considered beading the interior as well, but the beads were too thick and made the programs bulky. As it is, you and your bridesmaids (and groomsmen) could whip out a whole bunch of these beaded beauties in an evening. Using blue striped washi tape, I attached a glassine envelope of colorful paper confetti to the back of the program. Ideally, I would have chosen a smaller bag for the confetti, but I had these on hand.
Fortunately I own the gorgeous Gotham font and was able to recreate the monogram on the interior of the program.
This was such a fun, hands on project. A lovely break from sitting in front of the compuer. Thank you minted!
I would very much appreciate you comments, as the challenge will be partly judged based on the feedback I receive on this post. Thank you!
